What is a We Love Art Paint & Grape class like?

In a relaxed, social setting, an experienced artist will guide you through replicating the nights featured painting.  All our paintings are based on the classics of art history – from modern art to classic pieces. It’s famous art you will instantly recognize! To make sure you can leave with your own version of this famous Masterpiece, everyone starts with a pre-sketched canvas.  You will receive a handout explaining each step of the painting in an easy way. This gives you the opportunity to decide your own pace of painting. Our experienced We Love Art artists will walk around to guide you individually and make sure you’re on track and are able to leave with art you can be truly proud of! It's easy, fun, and totally stress free. Many people find our classes therapeutic and convenient way to tap back into their creative side. These classes are perfect as well as for beginners as for the more experienced artists amongst us, so grab your friends, coworkers, plan a unique date night, or fly solo and meet some creative people. It's also a great way to decorate your apartment because you are sure to go home with a painting you can be proud of. Also, our classes are great for all kinds of events, parties and team building workshops.

 

 How do I sign up for a class?

Click here for our calendar and choose the date and/or painting that interests you. Simply click on the image of the painting and on the next page click "Book Now/ Sign Up." On the booking page you can update the quantity of seats you'd like to reserve. The painting that is listed for each class is the painting that will be instructed. All materials are included: canvases, paint, brushes, aprons and easels, etc. We ask that students please arrive 15 minutes early to give yourself enough time to sign in and get settled.

 

 How do I cancel a class?

After you have booked your class, you will receive an email with your booking confirmation. In this email you will find a bottom “Cancel Appointment”. Click on this and your appointment will be cancelled. The money you have paid can be used for any future class you decide to register for.

 

WE HAVE A 24 HOUR CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULE POLICY:

If you need to cancel or reschedule a reservation, you must do so a minimum of one day before the event.

 

 How do I book a new class after I have cancelled an event?

When you are ready to book a new reservation, please send us an email to denise@weloveart.ae.  Mention the date you would like to reschedule your reservation to and we will make sure you are booked in for that event (provided that there are still spaces available).

 

 How does the waiting list work?

If a class is full you will see the "Join Waiting List" option. Click on this to add the class to your shopping cart and check out. You won't be charged anything and you will now be on the waiting list. If a seat becomes available, you will be notified via email and have the option to register at that time. Being on a waiting list doesn't automatically register you for a class, it just emails you if and when a seat opens up. Everyone on the waiting list gets the same notification at the same time, and has the same opportunity to register for the class. So you need to act fast to secure the open seat.

 

How do I use a voucher?

If you have received a voucher you can email denise@weloveart.ae and mention which painting session you would like to join and we will make sure you are booked in for that event (provided that there are still spaces available).

 

What if I’m not artistic?

These classes are designed for beginners, yet there is plenty of room to challenge students of all skill levels. We recreate the masters in art – from modern times to classic art pieces. Each of these paintings have their challenges, so whether you’re a complete novice or an experienced artist, there is plenty to learn and discover. To make sure you can leave with a famous Masterpiece, everyone starts with a pre-sketched canvas.  You will all receive your own step-by-step booklet so you can decide your own pace of painting.  Our experienced We Love Art artists will walk around to guide you individually and make sure you’re on track and are able to leave with a masterpiece you can be truly proud of! It's good to remember that with art there are no “right” or “wrong” answers. Also, any "mistake" can be fixed or simply reinterpreted as intentional strokes of genius.

 

 Do I need to sign up in advance?

It is strongly recommend to sign up in advance because of our limited seating. Also, it takes several minutes to prepare a spot for an unexpected student and this can cause the class to be delayed. Of course walk-ins are still welcomed if there are seats available.

 

What should I wear?

We provide everyone with aprons, but we still advise to wear something comfortable and which may get paint stains.

 

 What time do I need to arrive for a class?

Our doors open 15 minutes before the class start, so any time from then you are mostly welcome. We recommend to arrive early, just to give yourself the chance to settle and start the lesson in a relaxed way. In case you arrive late, you are responsible yourself to catch up.

 

Can I paint something other than what everyone else is painting?

We recommend you paint the same painting as everyone else, however we encourage you to be as original as you like. Feel free to use different colors, different composition, and different design elements, whatever you want to do to express your own originality. That being said, if you were to paint something completely different, you may regret missing out on the provided instruction booklets and the camaraderie of the group.

 

Do you have a minimum number of people required to hold a class?

We require a minimum of 8 people to hold a class. In case not enough students have signed up, we send out a notification of the cancellation to all those who signed up for the class.
